This August I got to go on my first trip to Vancouver. It was amazing we spent most of our time in Gas Town checking out the boutiques and we found one with this amazing functional sculpture. It was made of stacked novels and inside it’s a change room and storage room. Amazing!

This month Avendano is featured in Jaea Magazine check it out at www.jaeamagazine.com. There’s an editorial of our Spring 2010 collection so please check it out. I also participated in their “Unleashed” event in downtown toronto. More pics to com….

I’m really enjoying my imovies app on my mac. I just can’t stop making these little videos. We’re gonna be shooting our Spring 2011 line soon and I bet i’m gonna make another one. Maybe I’ll take a little video camera so I don’t just rely on the thousands of photographs from the shoots.

I know it’s a little early for Holiday Fashion but I just can’t help giving everybody a sneak peak of what to expect at our stores during the Holiday’s. Very fun! Holiday fashion made for parties and gift giving. Hope y’all like it

Just listed some new summer styles on my online shop.

A fabulous tank top, easy for pairing with jeans or a cute skirt and a tunic that’s great to wear with or without a belt.

These two super cute items both come with my signature eiffel tower print. Both are made from Rayon of Bamboo, so soft and cool for hot summer days.

A while ago I visited one of the shops I sell at in the Distillery District. Distill Gallery to be specific, and I found these amazing paper puppets. They were made by Pin Pals and I couldn’t resist having one made for my clothing line. So here is her debut and she just had her first photo shoot this weekend. Toronto Alternative Arts and Fashion Week was great, my friends bought me planted flowers. Not a bouquet but in a pot, hilarious. It’s still healthy and hopefully will remain that way until the next FAT show. For now enjoy the gallery FAT gallery 2010 just posted.

Now that the show is done it’s time to focus again on a new collection. I’m gathering ideas for Spring 2011 and some more items for Holiday Season. Today is the day for fabric shopping, placing some orders for my fall fabrics decisions, decisions.

Tomorrow will be partay in Freedom Clothing Collective, it’s their 6th year anniversary. I’m looking forward to celebrating with the girls, check out the details in my events page.
